Life....

Life has become busy recently. Therefore, I won't be able to post very often, if I'm able to post at all.

Hopefully, this summer or sooner I will be able to post again.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone!

It's late right now and I was up until 3:00 a.m. last night watching Happy Gilmore. If you like Adam Sandler you should definitely watch this if you haven't. In my opinion, it's one of his funnier movies.

Good night!

Customize Your Desktop

I found the coolest new tool to customize my desktop. Go to www.konfabulator.com and download the version for your computer. Then go to www.widgetgallery.com and select widgets that fit your style from over 1500 different widgets. It comes with about twenty standard widgets, but you will have to look online for more personal/custmomized widgets.

I read about this in one of my Maximum PC issues. It is awsome! Currently, I have a digital clock, calendar, yahoo search, and stock index (constantly updated). There are so many useful tools from showing the weather forecast to having a dictionrary -- all on your desktop.

Personally, my favorite is the digital clock. It's colored and it is larger than the toolbar clock in Windows XP. (It also has an old fashioned clock

Check it out!

Here is an example of some of the standard widgets that come with the download:

My New Website

Over Christmas breakI got a domain name and webhosting as one of my gifts. For the moment, I have put toghter a website about my sports card collection. The URL is:

www.kylespages.com

It's all coded in outdated HTML, but now that I have hosting I want to make a new site. First, I need to learn PHP, MySQL, and XHTML.

Hope to post more in the near future!

Posting Downtime in the Future

With my increased homework in the recents weeks I haven't been able to post much at all. In the freetime I have, I've been choosing to allot it to other activities. I don't think I'll be able to post much at all in the near future until school is out which is seven months from now, but I'll keep trying.

Don't get me wrong! I still plan on posting every week whenever time is sparse, but I can't gurantee anything such as daily posting. I will try my best, but the most I'll guarantee is one or two posts a week. I have no regular readers. Therefore, I don't forsee this being a problem.

Just letting anyone (or should I say no one) who cares about my worthless know what's going on.

Halo2 and Thanksgiving

I have been really busy with school the past week, and the previous week I was on vacation. Consequently, I haven't been able to post in here. I don't intend to have gaps of no posting, but I'm trying my best to post as much as possible.

I have had some free time as of late and I have been using it to play Halo2. It all started when I played with my brother for fun and he was better than me. He's never been better than me! He started smack talking me by saying stuff such as I wasn't good enough to play with him. I’ve been playing as much as I can over the past four days. I recommend this game if you have tons of time to kill.

Thanksgiving vacation was fun. The day after Thanksgiving I went to the Pistons game with my Dad and family. It was an awesome game of basketball, but unfortunately the Pistons lost in overtime. I still can't believe Ben Wallace missed a game winning free throw!

Hopefully I'll actually get meaningful posts up in the next few days. That’s enough about my life.

The Holiday Season is Here.... I am gone

With the holiday season approaching full steam ahead, I am going to be very busy for the next week. I don't want to make this a long post because I doubt if anyone even reads this blog, let alone care about what I'm doing for the holidays. Therefore, I'm going to make it short. On Wednesday, I'm going to visit the Universtiy of Michigan with my Dad. Thursday is Thanksgiving at my Dad's house. Next, we're going to a Piston's game on Friday . To finish off the busy weekend, we'll be having Thanksgiving at my Mom's house, also known as home to me, on Saturday. Sunday will be a day to rest and lounge around before school.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Have a good one.

Two Days Until Xbox 360 Release

Microsoft is set to release the Xbox 360 on November 22. That's this upcoming Tuesday! There has been all sorts of hype surrounding the new console. It's reportedly going to be sold out worldwide on it’s release day. Along with the console, there will be 18 new games released the same day. This will include titles such as Call of Duty 2, Madden NFL 06, and Project Gotham Racing 3.

I'm not getting it the first day it’s out. On the other hand, I believe my brother is going to get it for Christmas. That will be awesome if he does! If he gets it then I'll still be able to play it when he's not using it. I tried out the Xbox 360 at our local Wal-Mart. The graphics were kick-ass! Call of Duty looked so real it made me feel like I was in World War II.

If you have an extra $300 or $400 lying around, definitely go purchase the new Xbox 360. Looking at the different packages, buying it for the extra $100 is well worth it if you can afford it. You'll regret it if you don' because buying the items that come in it separately is much more expensive. Or just wait a year or two for its price to drop. Furthermore, Sony and Nintendo will be coming out with new consoles in the near future. You may want to wait and see if they make something better than the 360.

The biggest downside I see to the 360 is the fact that it is a computer. I already have a computer so why should I dish out another $400 for another one. I can play video games on the computer I have. Most likely I'll eventually get the 360, but I'm a little skeptical as of now.

Christmas Commercialization

Many people believe that Christmas is becoming too commercial. An affect of this has been Christams starting far too early. Lately, it's been starting before Thanksgivingin which is ludicrous and unecessary. Stores are starting sales sooner, Christmas music is being played on the radio too soon, and etc.

I think the early sales are good because it lets parents get shopping out of the way ahead of time. That way they don't have to rush and shop last minute. On a different note, I think playing Christmas music on the radio this early is ridiculous this early. I've been hearing Christmas music before snow has been on the ground! It just snowed here today and Thanksgiving isn't until next Thursday. Radio stations should wait until AT LEAST December, if not waiting for within two weaks of Christmas.

I had to touch on this because I've been hearing a lot about this topic lately.....
